We will meet at Granberget Lodge and take you for a dog yard visit. You will be introduced to the dogs that will be your companions on the tour. We will then get the sleds ready and harness the dogs together. And set off for a magical ride on the snowy trail and pure nature. If the weather is clear, you can expect some amazing views on the mountain range!
The lunch break will be taken at a shelter. It gives people and dogs a chance to rest, have some warm food and drinks before setting off for the second part of the ride.
Once back at the Lodge, you can help us snack the dogs and unharness them. You will have more time to play and cuddle the dogs as well as take pictures of them if you want to.
To finish the day on a high note, we will serve you comforting hot beverages and snacks at our Fika Club House.
Clothing & Cold Temperatures
Temperatures can drop pretty low in our area, and the better prepared you are, the more you will enjoy your day.
Specific warm clothes, such as extra warm overalls, “dog paws proof” jackets and extreme temperatures boots will be provided.
What to bring?
We strongly advise warm base layers and warm socks (wool is king!), hats, scarf or “Buff”, gloves and mittens. Woollen socks and mittens are best to keep your feet and hands warm and dry when on the sled. We have spare woollen socks and mittens for you if need be.
Disclaimer
We reserve the right to adapt the tours in case of extreme low temperatures (-27°C below) or very heavy snow both to protect our dogs and for the safety of our guests.

We will meet at Granberget View Lodge and take you for a dog yard visit. You will be introduced to the dogs that will be your companions on the hike. Once equipped with snowshoes and specific belts, we will set off on a beautiful walk of about 1 hour through the magical woods around our place. The dogs will help you on the gentle uphills and make the experience even more enjoyable!
Maybe, if you are lucky enough, you may spot a fairy or a forest spirit during the walk…
Fun fact: some of the dogs will be running free along with us!
After the walk, back at the Lodge, you will have more time to play and cuddle the dogs as well as take pictures of them.
After effort comes comfort: Fika (a Swedish tradition and word that means “coffee break”, or “tea time”) will be served in the fairy-tale like Fika Club House, right next to the dog yard.
